Vedanarayanan is a Partner and part of the Corporate Commercial, Financial Services, and Regulatory practice groups.
Ved, graduated with honours in Commerce from Vivekananda College, Chennai and qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary before commencing his professional journey into the corporate world. His passion for law, took him to qualify as a law graduate from Vivekananda Law College, Mumbai, a couple of years before his retirement from IndusInd Bank.
He is an industry veteran with over 39 years in the manufacturing and banking / financial services industry, focusing on finance, corporate affairs, and general management. Ved’s expertise in regulatory affairs, product development, and business management in fixed income, currency, equity, and derivatives product groups, earned laurels to the organisations he was associated with. He held senior management positions in Global Markets Group at ABN AMRO Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, and IndusInd Bank. Ved had represented IndusInd Bank on the Board of Foreign Exchange Dealers Association of India (FEDAI), as Additional Vice Chairman, for a three-year term and was also part of various consultative committees set-up by the Reserve Bank of India, Association of Mutual Funds in India, Fixed Income Money Market and Derivatives Association of India, and FEDAI.
Ved joined Juris Corp, to practice law with almost four decades of industry experience, especially in the BFSI segment, coupled with a legal bent of mind that reflects the ethos of the Firm. Ved’s rich and extensive industry expertise is being leveraged in the practice of the law and his knowledge on taxation, accounting, and corporate laws provides an impetus to the Firm’s talent pool.
Known for his sound appreciation of facts and providing a practical approach to any issue, he is a highly respected trouble shooter and finds solutions in tricky situations, with a calm demeanour.
Besides his desire to practice law, Ved enjoys travelling extensively within the country and across the globe. He is passionate about South Indian classical music and tries to dabble his hand in cooking, whenever he can seize the opportunity.
