Talat started her career with a large pan-Indian law firm handling foreign direct investments, joint ventures, and related corporate commercial matters. She assisted many a multinational corporation in setting up shop in India including though joint ventures and acquisitions.
Prior to co-founding Juris Corp, she moved into solo practice for a few years handling intellectual property rights mandates including handling contentious matters having shifted her focus from cross-border investments.
At Juris Corp she initially integrated global best practices and built quality assurance processes, in the then new aspects of securitisation, structured finance, and derivatives while continuing to lead the intellectual property rights practice. This resulted in Talat being in the unique position of getting industry wide recognition for Banking & Finance and Intellectual Property Rights at the same time for 2 years in a row. She has assisted clients in structuring and executing complex financing transactions, including with intellectual property rights as part of the collateral package.
Talat continues to support the Financial Services and Regulatory practice groups.
Known for her soft skills and demeanour, she is the go-to person in the Firm for resolving issues.
Talat has a passion for design and continues to dabble in design elements across formats.
