Draft RBI Circular - Clarifications on Intra-Group and Head Office Exposures under LEF

The draft amendment circular (“Draft Circular”) released by the RBI seeks to tighten and clarify the Large Exposures Framework (LEF) by refining treatment of exposures between foreign bank branches in India and their head offices / overseas branches. Amendments elucidated under the Draft Circular to come into force from 1st April 2026.
